Tunemorph
In development. Mac app first.

Hum a tune. Hear it played by anything.

Tunemorph turns almost any sound into an instrument you can play. Use your voice, a pot lid, running water or an elephant.

A hummed melody becomes a row of notes The top lane shows a wavy line for a hummed tune. The bottom lane shows the same tune as seven steady notes, E4 G4 A4 G4 E4 D4 C4, that any chosen sound can play. YOU HUM TUNEMORPH HEARS THE NOTES E4G4A4G4E4D4C4
The idea, drawn. Your hummed line becomes steady notes. Then a sound you pick, like a trumpet, a pot lid or an elephant, plays them. This is an illustration, not a recording.
How it works

Three steps. No music training.

An effect changes how a recording sounds. Tunemorph reads the notes you sing and plays them with a different sound.

  1. Record or import a melody

Hum, sing or whistle into your microphone, or bring in an audio file.

  2. Pick a sound

Choose an instrument, or use almost any sound: a voice, a machine, water or an elephant.

  3. Hear it perform

Tunemorph follows your melody and rhythm and plays them with the sound you chose.

Recording already works. Step 3, playing your melody with another sound, is the part we are building now.
